Touch Rugby League

Rugby Utah (RU), the governing body for elite and senior division rugby in Utah and operator the USA Rugby sanctioned RU Olympic Development Academy, in partnership with Utah Youth Rugby, the Utah National Guard and USA Touch has created the country’s first community-based recreational Touch Rugby League.

Games begin July 11th and run weekly through the month of September. Games will be played in the central location of Dimple Dell Recreation Center at 10670 S 1000 E, Sandy, UT 84094.

The RU Touch Rugby League is sponsored by USA Touch and as such utilizes the Federation of International Touch’s (FIT) rules of play, which is 6 v 6 with roster sizes of 12+ players. Games are played in 20 minute halves and the RU Touch Rugby league will culminate with an October 1st Championship for the High School, Corporate Co-Ed and Elite Men’s Divisions.

High School

High School Division players are boys and girls that are ages 14-18. Players will sign up individually and be placed on respective teams after registration.

Players under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign a liability waiver form before he/she can play. The High School division is set up in partnership with Utah Youth Rugby.




Elite Men’s

Elite Men’s Division players are anyone that is above the age of 18 and plays for a team is looking to qualify for the USA Touch National Championships on October 15-16. Elite Men’s Division players can also play for a Corporate Co-Ed Division team, but must fill out a separate registration and liability waiver form for that division.

The Elite Men’s Division team must register and pay for a team fee. Each player MUST register for and fill out an online liability waiver.



Corporate Co-Ed

Corporate Co-Ed Division players are anyone that play for a company-sponsored or social team. Corporate Co-Ed players can also play for a Men’s Elite Division team, but must fill out a separate individual registration form for that division.

The Corporate Co-Ed Division team MUST register and pay for a team fee. Each player MUST register and fill out an online liability waiver. There is NO additional cost for the individual Corporate Co-Ed player.
